Among the Japanese Personal Pronoun Anata, The Javanese Ethnic Personal Name, and Interactive Communicative Approach

This study is different from other naming studies since this examines the collaboration of science with foreign language teaching. Respondents are Japanese learners in city Purwokerto. There 1736 high schools and universities Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia where most people use Javanese as their mother language. Of questionnaires distributed through universities, 58% (1007) respondents filled out questionnaire. The conducted survey shows that 81% students prefer to be addressed by proper name end ~san than second-person pronouns (O2) Japanese, anata. On contrary, 18% who have ethnic names last syllable ~san. Addressing students' a way create communicative interaction motivate teaching-learning process.
